Trace History – African American Journeys Through Song traces African American history through traditional and modern spirituals as well as music influenced by them. This program was designed by CSU Channel Islands Performing Arts Professor, Dr. KuanFen Liu, to further understanding of the complexity of human history and expression and performed in December 2018 by singers from the CSU Channel Islands Choir.
The last performance of the season with an eclectic collection of choral music! Featuring works by Vaughan Williams, Dvorak, Berberian, Solomon, Hurwitz, and more.

Performances for diners in the Plaza Park in Oxnard. The PVSD performed at the Oxnard Food Truck Night. Food and picnic and music free for all.

On May 7th and May 12th, 2017, the CSU Channel Islands Choir joined with the Channel Islands Chamber Orchestra (CHICO) under the baton of Dr. KuanFen Liu to perform Mozart Requiem Mass and Bach's Motet No.1 'Singet dem Herrn ein Neues Lied' at the First United Methodist Church of Ventura and Rancho Campana Performing Arts Center, Camarillo.
